Wildlife Habitat Protection Act Lands

Wildlife Habitat Protection Act lands

Some Crown lands have special protections for wildlife habitat designated by the Wildlife Habitat Protection Act (WHPA). An approval must be granted by the Ministry of Environment (Environment) before conducting any work on WHPA lands. WSA will typically co-ordinate with Environment to obtain WHPA approval for your project; however, this step may increase permit processing time – please plan your project accordingly. If WHPA approval is not granted by Environment, an AHPP will not be issued for the proposed work.
