PUBLIC NOTICE: INVITATION TO COMMENT ON ALTERATIONS TO THE CANDLE LAKE CONTROL STRUCTURE

The Water Security Agency is planning upgrades to the Candle Lake Control Structure, including the construction of a new concrete stilling basin.
The project is needed to address ongoing erosion, maintain the long-term stability of the structure, and help reduce the risk of fish becoming stranded.
Construction is expected to take approximately one year, beginning in late summer 2029 following the peak recreational season and concluding by spring 2030.
Recreational users and boaters are not expected to be impacted during construction.
