LaFleche Dam Spillway Rehabilitation Project
Project Overview
The Water Security Agency (WSA) is undertaking the Lafleche Dam Rehabilitation Project to ensure the continued safety, reliability and long-term performance of the dam.
This project focuses on rehabilitating the existing spillway to address aging infrastructure and extend the lifespan of the structure. The improvements will help ensure the dam continues to support surrounding communities, agricultural users, and regional water management needs.
Project Purpose
The Lafleche Dam plays an important role in managing water resources and supporting local communities. Over time, key components of the structure have experienced normal wear and deterioration.
Rehabilitation is necessary to:
- Maintain dam safety and stability
- Address aging infrastructure

Scope of Work
The project includes several upgrades and repairs to improve the performance and longevity of the spillway, including:

Project Cost
The Lafleche Dam Rehabilitation Project is currently estimated to cost more than $12 million.
