Qualified Persons (QP) Training Courses
Qualified Persons (QP) Training Courses and Qualifications
The Qualified Persons (QP) training course is temporarily offline as we restructure to better support learners. Students currently registered in the training must complete their course by December 20, 2025. The updated QP training program will launch in January 2026. Stay tuned to this page for updates.
Key Program Updates
New Platform
The course will be hosted on the Brightspace platform, featuring self-registration, enhanced progress tracking, and a more interactive learning experience.
Course Consolidation
All four QP training courses will be combined into a single, online self-paced course.
- This new format will include:
- Optional virtual sessions to support learning and engagement.
- One mandatory in-person field day focused on the Point of Adequate Outlet (PAO) component.
- The PAO field day will be offered 2–3 times per year, scheduled between mid-June and the end of September.
- Note: Students who completed PAO training in 2025 will automatically receive credit for that component upon registering in the new system.
Ongoing Requirements
To ensure QPs remain current with the approval process, those inactive for three years or more must retake the QP Training.
New Fee Structure
The full QP training program will include a $249.00 registration fee. A discounted rate of $199.00 is available to the first 50 students who register on the new platform.
